Downtown Guest Service Representative

Position Summary:

The role of a Downtown GSR is an integral part of the sightseeing division. The GSR is the face of Gray Line Tennessee to visitors from all around the world. Their objective is to give the guest the very best experience in Nashville by selling the product that best fits their needs. The GSR projects a professional company image through all interactions both on the phone and in person.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell (and upsell) product and place into web-based reservation system.
  • Be a "tour guide" of Nashville by answering questions and complaints with a positive attitude.
  • Be knowledgeable about what is going on in town and offer suggestions on best places to eat, visit, or experience.
  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively with all types of people.
  • Follow-up on customer inquiries not immediately resolved.
  • Recognize, document, and alert the supervisor of trends in customer calls.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Follows directives and recommendations placed by the Team Lead.
  • Other duties assigned by Team Lead, Sightseeing Manager, or Director of Operations.

Education, Skill, and Abilities:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Effective oral and communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications.

Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 30 wpm.

Must pass background check and drug test.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Work conditions are inside with potential outside events. Need to be able to sit and stand for short amounts of time. Need to be able to lift 30 lbs.

Salary:

$15/hour with commission on all personal sales.

Status: Full Time; Non-Exempt

Schedule: Weekend availability is required as the schedule is Wednesday through Sunday (off days are Monday & Tuesday)
