Nashville Yards is s 15-acre billion-dollar downtown development that will include the new Grand Hyatt hotel. Classified as an "upper upscale" hotel, the Grand Hyatt will rise 23 stories and contain 591 rooms at the corner of Broadway and 10th Avenue North. In addition, Amazon.com Inc. has announced the creation of 5,000 new jobs going into this location. Opening in late summer or early fall of 2020, the Grand Hyatt will rank as the third-largest hotel in Nashville. nashvilleyards.com

The National Museum of African American Music has officially opened its doors in downtown Nashville. With 56,000 square feet of space, this is the only museum dedicated to preserving the legacy and celebrating the accomplishments of the many music genres created, influenced, or inspired by African Americans.
