Information You Provide to Us

When you visit, access, or use our Services, or interact with us, you may provide us with Personal Information or non-personal information. This information includes:

  • Sweepstakes. We may offer optional sweepstakes or contests that require registration or for you to submit Personal Information. We employ commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect the security and integrity of your Personal Information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. NCVC is headquartered in the United States. This Privacy Notice is subject to change from time to time by NCVC and your continued interaction with us, or use of the websites or our Services, means you agree to any changes or revisions. We will notify you of any material changes to our Privacy Notice to the extent required by law. We will post an updated copy on our websites. Please check our websites periodically for updates. Please review this Privacy Notice periodically for any updates or changes. If you object to any such changes to this Privacy Notice in any way, your only option is to immediately discontinue use of our websites and Services. Otherwise, continuing to use our websites and Services after the effective date means that you agree to be bound by the changes.

 

State Privacy Rights Notice

Depending on where you reside, you may have the right to make certain requests with respect to your Personal Information in accordance with applicable law, including:

  • Access: You may request to confirm whether we process your Personal Information and request information about the third parties to whom we have disclosed Personal Information. Subject to certain exceptions, you may also request a copy of your Personal Information.

We may “sell” certain categories of Personal Information in Information We Collect. We may “sell” these categories of Personal Information to the categories of parties described in How We Share Your Information, including for the advertising, promotional, and other purposes described in How We Use Your Information. For purposes of this paragraph, “sell” means the sale of your Personal Information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, subject to certain exceptions set forth in applicable state laws. If you would like to opt-out of sales or targeted advertising through certain cookie-based tracking for advertising purposes, separately click the “Cookie Preference” link in the footer of each NCVC website you visit to set your preferences or broadcast an opt-out preference signal recognized by NCVC, such as a Global Privacy Control signal, on browsers or browser extensions that support such a signal. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity prior to responding to your requests. The verification steps will vary depending on the sensitivity of the Personal Information and whether you have an account with us. Depending on where you reside, you may designate an agent to submit an opt-out of sale and opt-out of targeted advertising request on your behalf. Proof to verify your identity and the authorized agent’s authority to submit requests on your behalf are required, or we may deny the request. We use commercially reasonable efforts to authenticate your identity and the authorized agent’s authority through the written documentation provided in connection with the opt-out request in accordance with this Privacy Notice. We may deny certain requests, or fulfil a request only in part, based on our legal rights and obligations. Note that for purposes of these requests under this section, Personal Information does not include information about job applicants, employees and other of our personnel; information about employees and other representatives of third-party entities we may interact with; or information we have collected as a service provider to others.

 

EU, Switzerland and UK Privacy Rights

For the purpose of EU, Switzerland and UK data protection laws, NCVC acts as a controller in connection with certain Personal Information described in this Privacy Notice. As detailed below, to the extent provided by the law of your jurisdiction, you may have legal rights in relation to the Personal Information about you that NCVC holds. We may require you to prove your identity with approved identification if you request this information.

Lawful Basis for Processing Your Personal Information

We process on the following legal basis:

  • Contract: It is necessary for our performance of the contract you have agreed to enter with us. If you do not provide your Personal Information to us, we will not be able to carry out our obligations under the terms of the contract.
  • Legitimate Interests: We process your Personal Information if it is based on our legitimate interests. For example, we may process Personal Information in reliance on a legitimate interest in the effective and lawful operation of our business, the effective delivery and improvement of our products, services, and platforms, information security operations, compliance with laws and regulations, compliance with requests for disclosure to law enforcement, courts, and regulatory bodies, and to prevent and detect fraud or suspected fraud.
