Virgin Hotels Nashville Celebrates Pride Month with Parties, a Parade, and Elvis

Month of Love Kicks Off with Bath & Body Rooftop Pool Party.

As the official host hotel of Nashville PrideVirgin Hotels Nashville is host to a myriad of events celebrating love and inclusivity. According to the hotel’s director of marketing, Heather O’Dell, “At Virgin Hotels we believe that it is important for us to create an environment where all feel safe, valued and welcome. Inclusivity is built into our DNA and we are very happy to be the host hotel of Nashville Pride and look forward to these fun and festive events.” 

First up, Bath & Body, a rooftop pool party at The Pool Club at Virgin Hotels Nashville. Presented by event producer Deryck Todd, the official Nashville Pride Month Kick-off event will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2022 and will feature appearances from special guests Kerri Colby, a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 14) and Amanda Lepore, the iconic transgender model, singer and performance artist.  There will also be drag performances by Nashville artists Vidalia Ann Gentry, Alexia Noelle Paris, Justine Van de Blair and Cya Inhale. Hosts for the evening’s revelry include LGBTQ activists and supporters Zac Woodward, Arsyn, Queen Ravanna, Queen Ashtray, Spectral Cosmos, Young Music City and Daniel Diamond. DJs will be JoCo, Afro Sheen and Manrelic. Any Old Iron, a Nashville fashion boutique known for dressing the city’s musical performers and fashion forward locals, will pop-up onsite; and surprise guests and activations are in store.

Tickets for the extravaganza which kicks off at 6PM and is scheduled to run until 1AM are available via Eventbrite with Early Bird admission starting at $25, a Skip The Line entrance for $40 and a Meet & Greet with Kerri Colby & Amanda Lepore for $50; attendees are advised to arrive by 8PM to insure admission. A portion of Bath & Body’s proceeds will be donated to the Just Us program at the Oasis Center, a program dedicated to helping lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth achieve their full potential. Event partners include Nashville Pride, Nashville Scene, Music City Prep, iHeart Radio and Chambord.

The festivities continue on Sunday, June 12 with Upside Down Drag Tea, a regularly scheduled monthly event at Commons Club; with host Vidalia Anne Gentry. Enjoy boozy tea cocktails, drag performances and DJ entertainment from 2PM to 5PM. Indulge with packages such as “It’s Tea Time” for $35 per person, which includes a tower of bites and a pot of non-alcoholic tea or “Let’s Have A Par(Tea)” priced at $55 with the same bites and two upside-down tea cocktails. On Wednesday, June 15 from 6:30PM to 8PM, guests are invited to Rooftop Sounds at The Pool Club. A collaboration with Young Music City, the lesbian owned lifestyle brand celebrates the new Nashville music culture across all genres. With a nod to “Elvis,” the newest Baz Luhrmann film debuting on June 24, Virgin Hotels Nashville invites guests to celebrate the King at Elvis Day on Thursday, June 23 at Commons Club from 7PM to 10PM. The free and open to the public event will take place at the flagship restaurant and in the hotel’s groovy Shag Room with a DJ spinning Elvis records all day long, plus bites and elevated cocktails. Whether you are engaged, renewing your vows, straight, gay or non-gender conforming, celebrate your love with a free wedding performed by none other than “Elvis” himself. Pride Month culminates on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 with Pride Parades. On Saturday, the parade kicks off at 11am from Bicentennial Mall State Park with Virgin Hotels proudly participating: the hotel is also hosting the official after party at 8PM with Gia Woods, a Los Angeles-based pop musician.

Virgin Hotels Nashville is nominated for an LGBTQ Chamber Pride in Business Award as Allied Business of the Year. This award is given to an allied-owned business that is a member of the Chamber, is an active participant in building a more diverse business community in Tennessee, and has a proven track record of success and involvement.
