The Union Station Nashville Yards Unveils “Stationairy,” an Elegant New Restaurant and Bar

Stationairy serves a fusion of European and American cuisine in the former train station’s original Broadway entrance.

NASHVILLE, TN – The Union Station Nashville Yards has officially unveiled Stationairy, an elegant new restaurant from celebrated local chef Sean Foley.

Located within the grandeur of the former train station’s original entrance overlooking Broadway, Stationairy’s innovative dining menus feature contemporary takes on European and American favorites, such as steamed mussels with fennel and saison, duck breast with braised greens and citrus, ribeye with potato fondant, roasted salmon with polenta and herbs, baby kale Caesar salad, Broadway omelet with wild mushrooms and gruyere, and duck fat beignets.

“We’ve gone for the wow factor,” said Chef Foley. “It’s been an absolute joy to play with classic recipes and bring new elements to Nashville’s exploding food scene. Using a fusion of techniques with sustainably sourced ingredients, many of them local, we’ve created flavor combinations that match the richness of the space while still being accessible for a modern palate.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome our guests and the Nashville community for a brand-new culinary experience within one of the country’s most beautiful hotels,” said Schack von Rumohr, The Union Station Nashville Yards’ General Manager. “Stationairy’s intimate atmosphere and epicurean menus pay homage to The Union Station’s 121-year history while offering a chic and undeniably delicious dining experience that’s sure to delight food-lovers everywhere.”

Not to be overshadowed by the ambitious dishes and bold flavors on the dining menus, the restaurant’s craft cocktail menu is equally impressive, pairing premium spirits with exciting flavors that complement the elevated cuisine. Highlights include the Stationairy Old Fashioned with applewood-smoked Elijah Craig Bourbon; the On Being Frank with Grey Goose Vodka, amontillado sherry, and blue cheese olives; and the Sage Travels with The Botanist Gin, sage, Giffard Crème de Pêche, and lemon. Wine lovers will also enjoy an eclectic selection of premium vintages from France, Spain, Italy, and California.

Part of The Union Station’s multi-stage restoration project, the open concept design of Stationairy’s interior honors the history of the hotel, preserving the space’s sweeping views of Broadway, 22-foot-high ceilings, original granite stone walls, and famous floor-to-ceiling arched windows that embrace natural light and harken the excitement of downtown Nashville. Contemporary seating and décor paired with vintage accents offer guests a refined yet cozy dining experience.

Built in 1900, Union Station once served as Nashville’s central train terminal for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. The terminal closed in 1979 and the building was reopened as a hotel in 1986, later becoming a member of the Historic Hotels of America. After being acquired and renovated by Southwest Value Partners, the developer of the 18-acre Nashville Yards project, in 2020, The Union Station Nashville Yards was recently voted Music City’s “Best Hotel” and “Best Boutique Hotel” and is best known for its stunning Richardsonian-Romanesque architecture, sweeping four-story lobby, and original stained-glass windows.

Two hours of complimentary valet parking are included with breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Stationairy. To explore menus, make a reservation, and learn more, visit stationairynashville.com.
