New for 2023 Riptide Racer

Longest Slide of It's Type in the World

New Attraction to Highlight Nashville Shores’ 25th Anniversary.

Nashville, TN – Nashville Shores, Middle Tennessee’s largest waterpark, is turning 25 this summer and celebrating with a new multi-million-dollar attraction and a season long celebration.

Standing more than 50 feet high and longer than a football field, the new Riptide Racer will be the longest slide of its type in the world. The four-lane Riptide Racer begins atop a towering, five-story platform. Guests will then travel headfirst on a single mat racing family and friends through varying sections of side-by-side racing, hairpin curves, and steep drops as they descend the slide. The u-shaped flume and low separator walls will allow riders to see and hear each other throughout the ride as they race to the finish line.

“The Riptide Racer is a family-thrill slide featuring amazing speed, an interactive group experience, and a simple concept: first one to the bottom wins,” said Joe Eckman, General Manager of Nashville Shores. “We are excited to add this multi-million-dollar, world class attraction to our park and look forward to families and friends enjoying it together.”

The new attraction is designed and manufactured by ProSlide Technology Inc and is its RallyRACER model. The company is an innovative leader in the manufacturing of award-winning water park thrill rides and has installed thousands of slides in hundreds of waterparks across the world including Atlantis, Disney’s Blizzard Beach, and various Six Flags parks. The new slide will replace the Music City Racer.

“Besides being the longest 4-lane RallyRACER ever constructed in the world,” said Eckman, “Riptide Racer will also feature the largest drop of any 4-lane RallyRACER It will provide an exciting and memorable group experience for our guests.”

25th Anniversary

This season, the park will celebrate its 25th anniversary with giveaways throughout the year, special discounts, a gigantic birthday party complete with fireworks, and many more special events throughout the year.

Originally opened in 1998 with just 2 slides, Nashville Shores now features more than 20 waterslides and attractions, including two family raft slides, a gigantic wave pool, lazy river, two water treehouses, and more improvements.

Nashville Shores has experienced its greatest growth over the past decade. Since 2009, when the property was purchased by an investor group led by former Six Flags CEO, Kieran Burke, the waterpark has doubled in size. In addition, there have been major upgrades throughout the waterpark with enhanced guest services, new restrooms, restaurants, expanded concession areas, refurbished retail spaces and other improvements.
