Titans Launch First Subscription Wine Club by NFL team

‘The Foolish Club’ Memberships Available Now with Perks for Early Subscribers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 8, 2021) - The Tennessee Titans today announced the launch of “The Foolish Club,” a wine subscription service featuring the team and the state of Tennessee in a series of premium wines under the brand name Rough & Dressed Napa Valley. The subscription club and wine brand were developed in partnership with Fairwinds Estate Winery. The project is believed to be the first subscription wine club by an NFL team.

The Foolish Club, the nickname given to the eight team owners of the American Football League co-started by Titans’ founder Bud Adams, will feature two shipments of wine per year of six bottles plus the option to add additional wines based on club seniority. Club members will also gain access to a private member store to replenish their cellars and send special wooden box gift sets to family and friends. Each bottle will tell the story of an aspect of the team or honor a unique quality of Tennessee culture. A portion of sales generated from the memberships will benefit The Titans Foundation and its work in supporting local non‐profits, schools, and community centers.

“The Foolish Club is such an integral part of our team’s history, and with the launch of this wine club, it’s now a part of our present,” said Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk. “We hope our fans will love these wines and each of the stories they tell, and can’t thank Fairwinds Estate Winery enough for helping us bring this concept to life.”

Memberships to The Foolish Club are now available on its website at www.foolishclub.com. Those who enroll in membership early will establish seniority and have opportunities to purchase limited production wines and  attend future private events in Nashville and Fairwinds Estate Winery in Napa Valley. All members will have the ability to purchase individual wines outside of regular shipment dates in a private member online store.

The first season of wine shipments will be available in September, with the second scheduled for February. The first three wines available (which can be customized and will arrive in a vintage fire-branded wooden crate) will include:

  1. Rough & Dressed: A Napa Valley red Bordeaux blend;
  2. Amy’s Promise: An elegant and approachable Napa Valley Chardonnay; and
  3. Victory: A Napa Valley sparkling brut made in the traditional champagne method.

“I am excited to create these special wines for The Foolish Club,” says Brandon Chaney, Proprietor and CEO of Fairwinds Estate Winery. “The Rough & Dressed Napa Valley wines will celebrate the great history of the Titans, Nashville and the Volunteer State. Tennessee is truly a special place, and its people and creative energy are captivating.”

About Fairwinds Estate Winery

Fairwinds Estate Winery is nestled in the hillside off the Silverado Trail in the northern realm of Napa Valley. The historic winery was the 4th established in Napa Valley after prohibition. In September 2020, the winery suffered extensive damage in the Glass Fire that reaped havoc in the wine country. Serendipitously, Fairwinds’ wine inventory and production was spared in its underground wine caves. Planning is underway to rebuild the damaged structures on the majestic property to create an iconic architecture statement for visitors to enjoy in the future. Fairwinds is currently open for tastings and events in its 22,000-sf wine cave by appointment. In honor of the brave firefighters that risked their lives, Fairwinds is donating 20 percent of the sales of special wine packages on their website (www.fewinery.com) to support the California Fire Foundation which provides emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters, firefighters, and the communities they protect.
