Nashville, TN, June 7, 2021: JW Marriott Nashville, Nashville’s first true luxury hotel brand, today announced the appointment of Fabrizio Calvo as the General Manager. The 20-year veteran of the industry is joining the property as it leads the revival of the Nashville tourism market with its blend of luxury accommodations, great food and beverage, and central location. Calvo will oversee the day-today operations of the property including all aspects of the visitor experience, as well as staff management and deployment. Calvo will also be involved in strategic planning, budgeting, and sales and marketing for the property.

Prior to this appointment, Calvo was the General Manager of the W Atlanta-Midtown, a 466-room property located on Peachtree Street. Most recently, Calvo oversaw the closure and reopening of the property during the COVID-19 pandemic. During his 3-year tenure, he also oversaw the property renovation that was completed one month before Atlanta hosted the 2019 Superbowl. Before this, Calvo served as the Hotel Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida from 2015 to 2018. During the course of his career, Calvo has worked at a variety of prominent properties including: The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, The Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes, The Renaissance Vinoy St. Petersburg, and JW Marriott Cancun & Marriott Casa Magna Cancun. Calvo studied at the Istituto Tecnico Scuola Superiore Federico Cesi in Rome, Italy. He speaks English, Italian and Spanish.
