Cheekwood Welcomes New Board Members 2020

Cheekwood has recently announced the addition of eight new members to its Board of Trustees, as well as three new officers.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Cheekwood has recently announced the addition of eight new members to its Board of Trustees, as well as three new officers.

The new board members include:

Martin Brown, Jr. is Attorney of Counsel at Adams and Reese, LLP where he primarily handles matters such as the licensing of intellectual property, international commerce, mergers and acquisitions, and estate planning matters, including private foundation administration.

Katie Crumbo recently retired from Vanderbilt, where she worked as a nurse practitioner in HIV vaccine research for more than 20 years. She has served on Cheekwood’s Outreach Committee for the past two years.

Mike D. Johnson is Regional President and Head of Corporate Banking at PNC Bank, Tennessee, where he is responsible for delivering on PNC’s commitment to offering world-class financial solutions and reinvesting in communities throughout Tennessee.  Prior to joining PNC, he spent 18 years with Wells Fargo.

Robert M. Keith, Jr. is head of Alliance Bernstein’s Global Client Group and as such, oversees the firms institutional and retail businesses worldwide. Keith is a Member of the firm's Operating Committee and is also President and CEO of the firm’s mutual fund complex. 

A Nashville resident since 2018, Lisa Kranc is the Immediate Past President of Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Her career before retirement was in corporate marketing, including 12 years as Senior Vice President of Marketing for AutoZone, Inc.

Robert Lipman is Chairman and CEO of RSL Holdings – Lipman Brothers, R.S. Lipman Company, R.S. Lipman Brewing Company. A family business founded in 1934, Lipman has worked for the company since 1973.  

Emilio Pardo is Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Jackson Holdings LLC. A lifelong advocate for financial empowerment, Emilio has created dozens of public and private alliances to advocate for policy reform around telecom and healthcare. Prior to joining Jackson, he held senior positions at Discovery Communications and AARP.

Ronald Roberts is Managing Partner at DVL Seigenthaler Finn Partners, participating in corporate and crisis communications, media relations, message strategy, executive image management and more.

Three standing members of the Board of Trustees have moved into roles as officers for 2020-21, including Lisa Z. Manning, Chairman; Barry Stowe, Vice Chairman; and Russell Bates, Treasurer. Remaining in his position is returning officer Charles Robert Bone as Secretary.
