NASHVILLE, TENN. – Oct. 28, 2019 – Fable Cry’s Festival of Ghouls is coming to OZ Arts Nashville on Nov. 2, 2019, providing Halloween fans the opportunity to cap off the fun spirit of the popular holiday over the weekend.
Nashvillians are urged to put on their ghoulish best and step into a unique, twisted vision of the 1930s in this immersive Halloween party and over-the-top cabaret created by Nashville-based noir rockers Fable Cry. These local legends enlist the talents of artists from the worlds of burlesque, cabaret, and spectacle to conjure an unpredictable and extravagant event.
This Halloween spooktacular features burlesque by Sophie Dumal, puppetry by Wicked Ida, aerial dance by Beyond Wings, jazz by A Tale of Two, and rock by You Bred Raptors?. Fable Cry will perform their unreleased new concept album in its entirety, complete with theatrical storytelling elements.
The event will be filmed, and attendees have a chance of appearing as on-screen characters in Fable Cry's upcoming video releases, so guests are encouraged to dress in costume for this 1930s-themed “vampire bash.”
Tickets to Fable Cry’s Festival of Ghouls at OZ Arts Nashville, Nov. 2, general admission tickets are $20 and are on sale now at www.ozartsnashville.org. The Halloween spooktacular begins at 8pm.

Fable Cry stemmed from the idea of mixing their favorite elements of music, storytelling, theatre, and dark humor into their favorite amalgamation of what they would want to see out of a band. Influenced by several genres and styles of performance, they play a wide range of shows, from rock to pop to electronic and metal, along with variety shows—curating their own every Halloween since 2014 called Festival of Ghouls. They have spent the last several years touring regionally, releasing nine elaborate music videos from two albums, and writing and recording their third full-length album—a conceptual vampire epic of glamour and petty revenge, all placed in the 1930s.

As part of the Music Under New York program, You Bred Raptors? (YBR?) recently performed with Yoko Ono at her One Woman Show at the Museum of Modern Art. They have also performed alongside such acts as Phish, Steve Jones, Spoon, Walking Dead composer Bear McReary, and many other industry heavyweights. YBR? has played close to 60 cities since 2015. YBR? has performed and spoken at an official TED Talk, been commissioned to be the house band for ADULT SWIM at Comic Con and for the Off-Broadway hit show SLEEP NO MORE, and provided soundtrack/scoring for TROMA Pictures.
About OZ Arts Nashville’s 2019-2020 Season
The 2019-2020 season is the 7th season for OZ Arts and the first under its new Artistic Director Mark Murphy’s direction. This dynamic season of its signature “Brave New Art” features a unique blend of influential contemporary artists and ensembles from around the world, as well as groundbreaking Nashville-based artists, with a special emphasis on multidisciplinary performances, and work that highlights unique new uses of visual and audio technology. The number of performances at OZ Arts is increased by more than double in this new season, while the average ticket price is considerably lower to help make the work more accessible to a wide range of Nashville audiences.

About OZ Arts Nashville
Since opening in 2014, OZ Arts Nashville, a 501(c)(3) contemporary arts center, has changed the cultural landscape of the city. Housed in the former C.A.O. cigar warehouse owned by Nashville’s Ozgener family, OZ Arts, under the artistic leadership of Mark Murphy, brings world-class performances and art installations to the city, and gives ambitious local artists opportunities to work on a grand scale. In addition, OZ Arts founded a program called OZ School Days, a daylong, multi-arts program presented in partnership with Centennial Performing Arts Studios that aims to engage students aged 5 – 15 years old on days when Metro Nashville Public Schools are out of session (ex: Columbus Day, Presidents Day).
