On Aug. 23, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) plans on answering the question, “How many Nashville Predators does it take to equal the weight of a bucking bull?” when PBR stars and members of the Nashville Predators broadcast team step on the scale during the official weigh-in for the fourth, and final, Unleash The Beast Major set to buck into Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 24-25. The Jack Daniels Music City Knockout, presented by Cooper Tires, a PBR Major where riders have the opportunity to compete for both increased prize money and world points, will feature the Top 35 bull riders in the world squaring off against some of the rankest bucking bulls on the planet – the ultimate contest of man vs. beast.
Before the bull riding, one of the PBR’s top bulls will be weighed against three members of the NHL’s Nashville Predators broadcast team, Hal Gill (Radio Analyst), Chris Mason (TV Analyst) and Lyndsay Rowley (Rinkside Reporter), to see how the respective powerhouses measure up.
Present for the weigh-in will be one of PBR’s fastest-rising rookie talents – Ezekiel Mitchell. The lone African American bull rider ranked inside the Top 35, currently No. 18, Mitchell’s path to bull riding’s premier series began on YouTube which he used as a tool to initially teach him how to ride.
