The highly anticipated FieldHouse Jones hotel has announced that it will open its rooms on Wednesday, August 14th. The eclectic boutique hotel from Chicago-based Bedderman Lodging debuts its first out-of-market hotel at 811 Main Street, offering a space for both travelers and Nashville natives to enjoy in East Nashville.
FieldHouse Jones is designed to offer flexibility and luxury and create a welcoming and familiar experience for guests. The hotel offers an array of experiential spaces, accommodations for every traveler, and exceptional service. Bedderman Founders Robert and Debra Baum and Mike Downing are excited to foray into the South with their first out-of-market hotel that will bring a communal, creative hub—and the neighborhood’s first rooftop bar—to East Nashville.

The hotel itself will be the first-of-its-kind in Nashville, featuring 93 guest suites, a 4,000-square-foot rooftop lounge, and a 65-car garage. A variety of room types are available to accommodate every type of traveler, proving a property that’s fitting and fun for guests of all walks of life, whether they be large families, single travelers, or group getaways. Flexibility is key to the hotel’s design, and rooms are created with the ability to sleep a wide variety of party sizes, where each guest can have his or her own bed. There are 9 different room types throughout FieldHouse Jones, including shared rooms, private hotel rooms, apartment-style rooms, and vacation lofts.
By offering flexible room types and innovative bed arrangements FieldHouse Jones is one-of-a-kind in Music City and represents a new sector in the hospitality space. The ultimate alternative to traditional hotels and vacation rentals, East Nashville’s newest hotel meets the needs of diverse demographics and can accommodate guests in ways that others cannot match.
TAKE THE LOBBY HOME
The first of its kind in both Nashville and the hospitality space, the lobby at FieldHouse Jones Nashville will blend antique shop, bar, coffee shop, and communal space, creating a “choose your own adventure” opportunity for guests. Bedderman Lodging has partnered with long-time friends, the team behind acclaimed antique and furniture emporium, Architectural Artifacts, Inc, and Chicago-based design studio Siren Betty Design to outfit and design the entire space with vintage pieces, found objects, and original furniture sourced from all over the globe, all of which are available for purchase.
The teams worked collaboratively to design a space that was visually arresting but at the same time welcoming and intimate. This was achieved by organizing large-scale antique furniture and architectural elements into comfortable, inviting vignettes of various sizes – spaces ideal for a meeting of colleagues, a drink between friends, or a solo spot to dive into email or a good book. Floor-to-ceiling windows let light pour in, creating an artistry of shadows that changes the feel of the room throughout the day. Design elements from the upstairs guest rooms, such as wainscoting and paint colors, were incorporated to give context to the lobby. As all the antique furniture and light fixtures are for sale, the feel of the lobby with naturally change as the current pieces are purchased and new pieces brought in. Frequent guests will delight in finding the space both familiar and changed with each visit.
Upon opening, guests can expect to see items such as a wrought-iron, four-sided glass house with roof crafted by a master artisan in Italy specifically for Fieldhouse Jones, a brass table designed in the shape of snake with amethyst details and a glass top, made by French artist and furniture maker Isabelle Fauren (circa 1970), and a 22-foot wooden table that had previously been a work table in the automotive department of New Trier High School in Chicago’s prestigious North Shore in the 1920s.
A COMMUNAL HUB
FieldHouse Jones is inspired by the concept of traditional Chicago neighborhood fieldhouses or community centers: spaces that serve as a central galvanizing force and venue for people to congregate and gather for events as wide-ranging as photography classes to gymnastics, stamp collecting, or square dancing. Bedderman Lodging updates this concept by adding guest rooms, restaurants, bars, and retail components—it’s a place for guests to share their days and stories with old and new friends.
The lobby serves as a co-working space for locals, meeting point for guests, antique store, mini-museum, and auction house. Guests enjoy perusing the hundreds of unique items that the hotel has collected from all over the world and reading about their stories and being able to see and experience the lobby in new and exciting arrangements as pieces are sold.

While the rooms and lobby will be open on Wednesday, August 14th, guests can expect a separate roll-out of the food and beverage components of the hotel in the coming months. Wade McElroy, founder of Chicago-based creative hospitality studio, Leisure Activities, is curating all components for both food and beverage concepts in the hotel: Assembly Hall and Neon Mango.
In addition to antique shop, the lobby will also double as an all-day bar, Assembly Hall, exuding a whimsical atmosphere that inspires exploration. Assembly Hall will feature a spirited bar program, natural wine selections, and riffs on classic cocktails coupled with a concise food menu offering items craveable at all hours of the day. The eccentric vibe of the space flows outside, as guests can look forward to al fresco dining and drinking on the outdoor garden patio, thoughtfully designed with lush greenery, shared tables, and games.
Determined to offer diverse and distinct experiences throughout the hotel, FieldHouse Jones will transport guests from the streets of East Nashville to a serene setting atop the hotel with its forthcoming rooftop bar, Neon Mango, boasting bright hues, bold patterns and a laid back yet vibrant vibe. A playful partner to its lower level counterpart, Neon Mango seeks to serve a colorful and contemporary cocktail menu where each drink centers around a certain ingredient. East Nashville’s first rooftop bar will have more than 2500 square feet of panoramic views of the entire city.
