Nashville's Newest Tourism Numbers Are Something to Sing About

Music City shows $7 billion in visitor spending over the last year, all while underscoring the importance of the city’s hospitality industry.

In 2018, there were 71,140 hospitality industry jobs in Nashville, and 15.8 million visitors traveled to the Greater Nashville area in Fiscal Year 2019. 

Because of the increase of one million visitors in the last year, many new hotels have been and are being built in Nashville. There are currently 20 hotels with 2,413 rooms scheduled to open this year. Last year, 15 hotels opened for a total of 2,300 rooms, as well as 133 new restaurants and another 100 scheduled to open in the next year.
