Dierks Bentley’s Guide to Nashville Hotspots

Last updated on

Get the inside scoop on some of Dierks Bentley’s favorite spots around Nashville—from dive bars and legendary music venues to hidden hiking trails and his go-to for a spicy margarita.

Dierks Bentley’s roots in Nashville run deep. Since moving to Music City at 19, he’s become a staple of the scene—not just as a chart-topping artist, but as a community figure who gives back and shows up. He headlined New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash in 2022, and this summer, he’ll take center stage once again to headline the Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th event in 2025. Whether ringing in the new year or celebrating Independence Day, Dierks continues to show up for the city that’s shaped his journey — and invites others to experience the parts he loves most.

Dierks's Bentley's Whiskey Row

Where do you like to grab a drink when you're off the road?

"I opened Whiskey Row down on Lower Broadway to be that spot. It’s a great place to grab a drink and catch some live music on the 1st floor or meet friends up on the rooftop. We also host Whiskey Jam there, and if you are into discovering new talent, it’s the best place in Nashville to do that!"

Is there a favorite restaurant you find yourself going back to again and again?

"A lot of my favorite spots are in the 12th South neighborhood. My buddy just opened The Henry, and it has the best spicy margaritas. I also love 12 South Taproom for the beer selection, and you can’t beat Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint."

Station Inn

Where do you love to catch live music when you’re not on stage yourself?

"I’ve been going to the Station Inn since I moved to Nashville when I was 19. It's home of the best bluegrass and acoustic players in the world. You’ll see incredible pickers any day of the week."

What’s one Nashville venue that’s been especially meaningful in your career?

"Again, The Station Inn has been such a big part of my experience with music. It shaped me as an artist—just soaking up all that talent and learning from some of the best in the world. Every time I walk through those doors whether to hop on stage or sneak in the back door to check out whoever is playing, it takes me right back to why I started doing this in the first place."

Outdoors at Radnor Lake

Do you have a favorite way to spend time outside in Nashville?

"We do a lot of hiking as a family. A couple of our favorite spots to hike are Radnor Lake and Percy Warner Park. They’re both close to town when you don’t have all day to squeeze in a bigger outing. But we also like to get out in more wide-open spaces in Hickman County, just 45 minutes from town, to fish and ride four-wheelers."

Arnold's Country Kitchen

What’s a local spot that feels especially “Nashville” to you?

"Arnold’s Country Kitchen is one of those spots that just feels like Nashville to me. It’s the kind of place where you get a great meat & three, see a mix of locals and visitors, and feel that sense of community. Nothing fancy—just real, authentic, and full of character. It’s a Nashville staple for a reason."

If your new album had a Nashville location that captured its vibe, what kind of place would it be?

"It would probably be a lot like Losers. Nothing fancy or pretentious, but the beer is cold, the music is country, and the walls have a lot of stories to tell. It’s also a place that you’ll find every generation of singer and songwriter on Music Row. A great hangout for the whole community."
