Sensory-Friendly Evening at Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery Friday, July 17, 2026 | 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery welcomes guests of all ages and abilities to a special sensory-friendly evening on the beautiful Belle Meade estate. Designed with inclusion in mind, this event offers a relaxed, engaging way to explore history, connect with community partners, and enjoy hands-on activities throughout the historic grounds.

Explore the Grounds

Activity stations are spread across the estate, giving families the freedom to move at their own pace and discover something new around every corner:

  • Doll House - Laundry and frontier games
  • Stables - An interactive artifacts table and an optical illusions station featuring kaleidoscopes, Jacob's Ladders, and ViewMasters
  • Carriage House - A cozy reading nook, coloring and drawing station, and crafts including thaumatrope making, gourd carving, and modified tin punch
  • Garden Cottage (Sensory Room) - A calm, dedicated sensory space with coloring pages, board and card games, fidget toys, Jacob's Ladders, and kaleidoscopes
  • Tent Area - Meet representatives from Nashville's top cultural institutions, each offering sensory-friendly activities and information about inclusive programming at their own organizations. Participating partners include the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Frist Art Museum, Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, the Tennessee State Museum, the Adventure Science Center, the Parthenon, Music City Pet Partners, and Fischer's dinosaur team.
  • The Mansion - Sensory-friendly guided tours of the main floor depart every 15 minutes throughout the evening.

Each ticket includes grounds admission, self-guided access to historic structures, and all activities.

  • Adults: $12
  • Youth (ages 5-17): $12
  • Children 4 and under: Free
