Founded on September 19, 2020, by Dr. Bruce V. Ayers, Jr., the Nashville African American Wind Symphony began as a community ensemble for college-trained musicians passionate about performance. Today, it has grown into a premier wind ensemble with a mission to expand access to music education, provide training resources, and create meaningful performance opportunities for young musicians.
