Isaiah Cross

Pianist Isaiah Cross debuts Sketches, a new ensemble concept where each musician contributes a distinct voice to create a fully realized artistic picture. Drawing inspiration from the conversational interplay of piano trios led by Brad Mehldau, Keith Jarrett, and Ahmad Jamal, Cross brings a lyrical touch and deep respect for jazz tradition to standards and contemporary repertoire alike. He's joined by Nate Spratford on alto saxophone, Lucas Giordano on bass, and Will Stenberg on drums for an evening of nuanced, spontaneous music-making.
