An Intimate Evening with LaLa Deaton
Vocalist LaLa Deaton leads her group playing jazz standards, originals, with timeless vibes featuring Jimmy Sullivan on bass, Ty Bailie on piano & Max Niederle on clarinet.
LaLa Deaton is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter whose dynamic artistry spans pop, country, and big band jazz. With four studio albums, numerous awards, and credits as a producer, songwriter, and arranger, LaLa has firmly established herself as a multifaceted force in the music industry.
Her solo recording journey began with the 2016 release of Dare, a pop/country EP, followed by the industry-lauded Christmassing: New Classics for the Old Soul—a self-produced, all-original big band Christmas album that pays loving homage to the 1940s era. Her most recent project, Love, is a genre-blending collaboration with hip-hop artist Robby Blair.
In 2018, LaLa made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage alongside TV star and co-writer Charles Esten (Nashville, Outer Banks, Whose Line Is It Anyway?), and has been invited back multiple times since. Her songwriting earned international acclaim in 2019 with a Golden Guitar nomination for "Traditional Country Album of the Year" in Australia, for the Angus Gill album Welcome to My Heart, which features LaLa's title track.
Her songs have been featured in film and television and performed or recorded by over 30 artists across a wide range of genres. Her music regularly plays at retreats led by New York Times bestselling author and speaker Dr. Joe Dispenza, and has been spotlighted on Mitch Albom's (Tuesdays with Morrie) personal playlist and the official website of renowned Law of Attraction expert Bob Proctor.
In 2023, LaLa produced and released JaLaJeRu Vocal Jazz, a vocal jazz Christmas album that showcases her signature harmonic style. She is currently composing and arranging a new big band jazz album slated for release next year. LaLa's music is available on all streaming platforms and at laladeaton.com/music.
