An Indigenous Present

An Indigenous Present is a comprehensive exhibition showcasing a century's worth of modern and contemporary Indigenous art, featuring new pieces and significant works from 15 artists who employ abstraction to express personal and collective narratives, depict real and imagined locations, and build on cultural and aesthetic traditions. The exhibition, co-organized by artist Jeffrey Gibson and independent curator Jenelle Porter, offers a broad exploration of Indigenous art practices, highlighting a spectrum of established and emerging artists.
