Dave Potter

Dave Potter brings his formidable drumming chops to Nashville with a quartet featuring Jon Cowherd on piano, Miguel Alvarado on tenor saxophone, and Rob "El Ton" Linton on bass. Potter's path took him through Florida State, a stint with the Louis Armstrong Quintet in New Orleans, and mentorship under Marcus Roberts, and he now tours with Jason Marsalis, Greg Tardy, and Eric Reed alongside leading his own project, Retro Groove. This is straight-ahead jazz from a drummer who has earned his place among serious company.
