Led by one of our knowledgeable historians, this 45-minute guided tour takes you across several historic locations throughout Belle Meade's 30+ acres, following the footsteps of the soldiers who fought and the people who lived through one of the most defining periods in American history.

As you explore the grounds, you'll learn how the Harding-Jackson family and those who were enslaved at Belle Meade experienced the Civil War, including the impact of the Battle of Nashville and the events that unfolded on this property. Discover the roles of the United States Colored Troops, the Army of the Cumberland, and the Army of Tennessee, and how their actions contributed to the outcome of the Civil War.

This fully outdoor walking tour offers a deeper look at Belle Meade's history beyond the mansion walls, exploring the connections between the estate, the Civil War, and the many individuals whose lives were shaped by this pivotal moment in time.

Your Battle at Belle Meade ticket also includes admission to the Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery grounds from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the day of your visit, giving you time to experience everything the property has to offer. Enjoy lunch at The Belle Meade Meat & Three (open daily 11:00 AM-3:00 PM) or Fox Run Café (open Friday-Sunday, 11:00 AM-4:30 PM), grab a coffee or sweet treat at The Coop 'N' Scoop (open daily 9:00 AM-4:30 PM), sip and shop at Belle Meade Winery (open daily 9:30 AM-5:00 PM), or relax with a handcrafted cocktail at Bonnie's Bourbon & Wine Bar (open daily 11:00 AM-5:00 PM).

While visiting, explore our 30+ acres of historic grounds, visit our resident horses, Nelson and Alibi (April-October), and enjoy live music in the Wine Garden on weekends from April through November, 12:30 PM-3:00 PM. The full live music schedule can be found at www.bellemeadewinery.com.

Please note: This experience is a completely outdoor walking tour. Guests will encounter grass, pea gravel, pavement, and potential inclines throughout the route. Please bring water or purchase refreshments from the Visitor's Center.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in at the Visitor's Center. The tour begins promptly at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may not be able to join the tour once it has departed.
