Alison Brown

Alison Brown didn't just break barriers in bluegrass…she redefined what was possible. The Grammy-winning banjoist, producer, and Compass Records co-founder was the first woman to win IBMA Instrumentalist of the Year, is a member of the American Banjo Hall of Fame, and has received the Country Music Hall of Fame's Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum honor. A frequent collaborator with Steve Martin whose joint work has generated over 70 million social media views, Brown brings a once-in-a-while caliber of artistry to the Franklin Theatre stage.
