ZieherSmith is a contemporary art gallery with an onsite shop, called The National Life, that features unique artist designed objects and gifts.
Founded in New York City in 2003, we relocated to Nashville, Tennessee and are now located steps from the Gulch and Music Row, with free easy parking. We were named “Best New Gallery” by The Nashville Scene.
We have always aimed to be a welcoming environment for all visitors. Our openings include refreshments and a kid's craft table. Please feel free to make an appointment to visit if our regular hours aren't convenient.
Pulitzer Prize winning art writer Jerry Saltz selected ZieherSmith as one of his top 25 new NYC galleries in New York Magazine, leading critic Roberta Smith named the gallery among the top Chelsea galleries in The New York Times, and Art in America including ZieherSmith in its annual listing of top 500 art galleries worldwide. We have placed work in some of the world’s top museum collections, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition to our regular programming, we facilitate secondary market sales and offer art advising services.
