Cancer touches all of us. Whether it's a family member, friend, colleague, customer, or client—nearly everyone has been impacted by this disease in some way. More than 2 million Americans are diagnosed with cancer each year, and every minute, someone in the U.S. dies from cancer. We know that many of you in the Nashville community have supported loved ones through their cancer journey, mourned lives lost or are survivors or in treatment yourselves.
You can support Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C) as they bring their ninth biennial televised fundraising special to Nashville for the very first time this August.
Airing Friday, August 15 at 7pm CT, the show will broadcast simultaneously across more than 30 media platforms and unite celebrities, musicians, athletes, cancer researchers, and survivors in a powerful evening of inspiration and action—all from right here in Music City.
Founded in 2008, SU2C’s mission is to raise awareness and fund collaborative cancer research with the aspiration to cure all patients. Since then, they’ve invested nearly $800 million into innovative research and awareness campaigns, supporting over 3,100 researchers across more than 210 institutions in 16 countries. Their work has contributed to tens of thousands of lives saved.
This year’s telecast will feature music icon Dolly Parton, with GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Sheryl Crow serving as host, along with other performers and celebrities. The event marks a powerful moment of national visibility for our city—and a meaningful opportunity for local businesses and community members to stand together in support of this lifesaving mission.
