NASHVILLE, Tenn. — WSM Radio, home of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry broadcast, announced “The Kelly Sutton Show” will launch Aug. 10. CMA and ACM Award-nominated broadcaster and the first-ever female Grand Ole Opry announcer Kelly Sutton will lead the new show, which is set to air weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Blending storytelling with entertainment and country music news, artist interviews and listener interaction, “The Kelly Sutton Show” offers listeners a behind-the-scenes look at the people and stories shaping Nashville's music community.
Of the announcement, Kelly Sutton shares, "I am truly honored to be entrusted with carrying on the incredible legacy of WSM Radio. Longtime WSM Radio personality and Grand Ole Opry host, Charlie Mattos, will join Sutton as producer and co-host, alongside WSM Studio Director Annie Ney. WSM personality and Kelly’s Amazon Music co-host Amber Anderson will also contribute on the show regularly. Segments of “The Kelly Sutton Show” will be streamed across WSM's social media platforms, extending the show's reach and bringing listeners closer to the morning program.
Kelly Sutton previously co-hosted WSM Radio’s “Coffee Country and Cody” for five years alongside the late radio broadcast legend Bill Cody. Over the past two decades, Sutton has covered entertainment and country music for major broadcast networks and media outlets, becoming one of the industry’s most recognizable media personalities. In addition to her roles with WSM and Grand Ole Opry, Sutton will continue hosting her nationally syndicated radio show, “Y'all Access with Kelly Sutton,” heard on radio stations nationwide. She will also continue to host Amazon Music's “Country Heat Weekly” podcast and “The Nashville Show” on Absolute Radio Country in the United Kingdom.
