SEC Party in the Park to be March 13-14 at Music City Walk of Fame Park

Free Event Includes Screen to View SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament, along with DJ Performances, Local Food, and Family-Friendly Games.

NASHVILLE SEC Party in the Park will be held on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14 as a free fan activation with DJ performances, local food, family-friendly games, and a video screen to watch the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament taking place next door at Bridgestone Arena, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp announced today. The free SEC Party in the Park will kick off at 10 a.m. both days and is in the third year as an initiative of the NCVC and the Southeastern Conference.

“The SEC Party in the Park has become a can’t-miss part of tournament week in Nashville for both locals and visitors,” said NCVC President and CEO Deana Ivey. “It’s the place where fans gather between games, families join in the fun, and anyone without a ticket can still be part of the energy and excitement.”

The Fieldhouse Bar will offer cold beer and beverages, as well as phone charging stations. Family-friendly games will include cornhole, pop-a-shot and giant Jenga. Daddy’s Dogs will be onsite. More event details are at visitmusiccity.com/events/sec-basketball.

Attendees are invited to bring blankets and collapsible chairs, but no coolers, backpacks, wagons, pop-up tents and no pets. (Please see full list of House Rules.) The SEC will host SEC Fan Fare on Rep. John Lewis Way from Broadway to Demonbreun and on the Walk of Fame Park Plaza with additional fan-friendly activities.

Nashville has hosted the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament 14 times since 2001.The tournament kicks off with an 11:30 a.m. game on Wednesday, March 11, and runs to Sunday, March 15, when the championship game is played at noon.

The SEC Party in the Park will include DJ performances between games. All times Central Time. (Schedule subject to change.)

Community partnerships for SEC Party in the Park include Safe Bar, in collaboration with the Sexual Assault Center, with bartenders trained in bystander intervention and awareness.

Major events like the SEC Tournament are significant drivers for tourism to Music City. On the sporting events front, Nashville recently hosted the Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball games, bringing professional women’s basketball to Municipal Auditorium for the second year. The U.S. Soccer Women’s National Team recently played in the nationally televised SheBelieves Cup at GEODIS Park. The Japanese Men’s National Team and the Japan Football Association delegation will be in Nashville this summer for their FIFA World Cup 26 Team Base Camp and Training Site, bringing the excitement of FIFA World Cup 26 to Music City. Looking ahead, Nashville will host soccer matches during the LA2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and welcome the 2034 Special Olympics USA Games.
