Salt Ranch Hotel, Pool Club & Bar Coming Soon to Nashville
Tennessee retreat revives historic Nashville roadside motel, announces early 2026 opening.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Situated on the outskirts of East Nashville, Salt Ranch is a locally owned Tennessee retreat for road-weary travelers, vacationers and work-hard-play-hard types opening in early 2026. The 2.5-acre campus features an open-air hotel with 48 guestrooms, pool club and historic Main House with a barroom, library bodega and private event space.
Once a bustling American thoroughfare first known as the Buffalo Trail and later the Dixie Highway, the stretch of Dickerson Pike on which Salt Ranch sits flourished during the motel boom in the mid-20th century. Maple Manor, the original home on the site, was built around 1824. Additional guest houses and a pool were added in the 1950s when the converted residence functioned as a motor inn, which eventually became a Congress Inn motel. However, motor inn numbers began to decline with the construction of Nashville’s interstate system and the Congress Inn closed in 2020.
Nashville native and Salt Ranch Owner Tyler Cauble, a commercial real estate investor, developer and entrepreneur who founded of The Cauble Group, Parasol Property Management, Hamilton Development and CREcentral.com, acquired the abandoned roadside motel in 2021 with a vision to bring new energy to Nashville’s booming tourism industry. Cauble brought on hotel management company Remington Hospitality to oversee operations and tapped local industry veteran Evan Thomas as general manager for boots on the ground leadership.
“When the opportunity came up to do something really cool and interesting with this property, I jumped at the chance,” said Cauble. “Salt Ranch is designed be an original Nashville retreat. You can’t hang a guitar on the wall, slap a picture of Dolly somewhere and say, ‘Welcome to Nashville, this is what we are.’ I wanted to give people a sense of the Nashville that I know and grew up with while reviving a piece of our city’s history.”
The design of the property evokes the nostalgia of a mid-century motor inn, while Salt Ranch’s updated amenities, common spaces and emphasis on Southern hospitality is suited for today’s modern traveler seeking relaxation and connection with proximity to Nashville’s top bars, restaurants, attractions and business districts.
Travelers checking in will do so in the Main House, which also includes a bar, library bodega, complimentary breakfast, co-working areas and private event spaces. The exterior guest houses are home to 48 king and double queen bedrooms equipped with free parking, wi-fi, televisions, custom robes and slippers. The outdoor pool club, opening in spring 2026, welcomes visitors and locals alike to bask in the Tennessee sunshine around the 750-square-foot pool’s chaise lounges, cabanas and detailed 7000-square-foot pool deck and enjoy a drink from the poolside Pumphouse Bar. Additionally, the only hotel with multiple acres on the east side of the city, Salt Ranch will be available for events, buyouts and other special occasions, from corporate retreats and micro-weddings to family reunions, birthdays and bachelorettes.
