Paint & Sips, After-Dark History and Free Trick-or-Treating Fill October at Belle Meade

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery has announced its October 2026 event lineup. The month opens with a pumpkin-painting paint & sip on October 1 and closes with a witching hour on October 29. In between come a STEAM festival event, a week of fall break programs for kids, a returning after-hours Victorian Spiritualism tour and a free community trick-or-treat on October 25.

“October is our favorite month on the property,” said Rachel Buckingham, Director of Marketing at Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery. “Whether you’re bringing the kids for fall break, planning a girls’ night, or want to see the estate after dark, there’s a night or a day here for you. Several of these events sell out, so we’d encourage people to book early.”

The October Lineup

Pumpkins & Petals: An Autumn Garden Paint & Sip — Thursday, October 1, 6:00–8:30 PM. Guests paint pumpkins and arrange fall florals with wine and cocktails available all evening. Tickets are $60, with an optional $15 Build-Your-Own Bouquet add-on. Ages 21+.

Homeschool & Community Days — Friday, October 2 (Sold-Out), and Saturday, October 3, 10 AM–2 PM. A drop-in day of hands-on learning built around a Colonial Times theme. Admission is $12 per student, with one parent free and $18 for each additional adult.

Tennessee STEAM Festival — Saturday, October 10, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. A day of science, technology, engineering, art and math activities for families across the historic grounds. Tickets are $18 for adults with an additional adult free, $12 for children, and free for ages 4 and under.

Fall Break Family Days — Monday, October 12, through Friday, October 16, 10:00 AM–1:30 PM. Each day has its own theme: Leaf, Fall Vegetable, Apple, Fall Animals and Halloween. All week, kids can visit a reading nook, a scavenger hunt, a coloring station and a popcorn and lemonade snack bar. Tickets are $18 for adults with an additional adult free, $12 for children, and free for ages 4 and under.

The Wine Workshop pt. 1 – Why Winemakers Blend — Thursday, October 15, 6:30–8:00 PM, in the Wine & Bourbon Library. A wine educator leads an interactive tasting of individual grape varieties alongside finished Belle Meade red blends. Guests explore fruit, acidity, tannin and body, and learn how winemakers combine grapes to build balanced, complex wines. No prior wine knowledge is needed, and space is limited. Tickets are $35, with optional charcuterie add-ons ($15 personal, $30 board for two to three). Ages 21+.

Victorian Spiritualism — Friday, October 16, and Sunday, October 25, 5:30 PM-8:30 PM. After selling out both dates in its 2025 debut, this three-hour after-hours tour returns. Join a spooky happy-hour before Belle Meade Historians lead guests through a recreated Victorian funeral, the history of séances and Spiritualism, and a rare nighttime visit to the estate’s mausoleum. Tickets are $95 and include two specialty cocktails. Ages 21+.

Autumn Wreath Workshop — Sunday, October 18, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Guests build a seasonal wreath to take home alongside the experts at Apple & Dove Co. Tickets start at $95 and all ages are welcome!

Trick-or-Treat at Belle Meade — Sunday, October 25, 1:00 PM-4:00 PM. A free, family-friendly afternoon of trick-or-treating on the historic grounds. Families can enjoy a hay maze, hay rides, a showing of the Great Pumpkin, live music, and optional add-on activities. Face painting and pumpkin carving are available for $5 and $15. Pre-registration of pumpkins is required.

Witching Hour: A Craft & Coven Social — Thursday, October 29, 6:00 PM-8:30 PM. A witching hour-themed paint & sip to kick off Halloween weekend.. Tickets are $60 and will be released soon. Ages 21+.
