NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville Ballet will celebrate National Dance Day with its annual Open House event - Movement Taking Form Season Preview Performance on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at The Martin Center for Nashville Ballet, 3630 Redmon St., Nashville, TN 37209
Open House activities will take place from noon to 2 p.m., followed by a one-hour 2026-27 Season preview performance from 2 to 3 p.m.
The community-wide event offers patrons and families an opportunity to experience the artistry behind Nashville Ballet’s 2026-27 Season, Movement Taking Form. The season’s theme explores what happens when ideas become expression, discipline becomes artistry and Nashville Ballet reveals the shape of its future with greater confidence.
Beginning at noon, guests may explore The Martin Center and participate in dance classes for adults, social activities, crafts and question and answer sessions with members of Nashville Ballet’s staff. Attendees can also meet the artists who bring the season’s stories to life.
Nashville Ballet staff members will be available to answer questions and assist guests with season subscriptions, individual performance tickets, School of Nashville Ballet enrollment, donations and merchandise purchases.
At 2 p.m., Nashville Ballet will present the Movement Taking Form Season Preview, featuring excerpts from works to be performed during the 2026-27 season by Nashville Ballet’s professional company, NB2 and students representing multiple levels of School of Nashville Ballet.
In support of its commitment to accessibility and inclusion, the Nashville Ballet, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is offering the season preview performance on a “Pay What You Can” basis. A $10 contribution is suggested, but guests may reserve a seat at no cost. Those who choose to contribute more will help support Nashville Ballet’s productions, education programs, scholarships and operations.
