Modern Love Unveils All-New Seasonal Menus and Debuts Daily Happy Hour At Fairlane Hotel
Flagship restaurant introduces an entirely new seasonal dining experience inspired by Tennessee farms, Southern traditions and convivial gathering.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Modern Love, the flagship restaurant and bar located within Fairlane Hotel, has unveiled an entirely new seasonal menu alongside the launch of a new daily happy hour program, further establishing itself as one of downtown Nashville’s most dynamic culinary destinations.
Rooted in seasonality, community and a spirit of hospitality, the new menus showcase Executive Chef Jon Sinecki and Executive Sous Chef Sam Greer’s creative approach to ingredient-driven cuisine, with a strong emphasis on local sourcing and dishes designed for sharing. The seasonal offerings mark a complete refresh of the dinner menu, with no dishes carried over from previous iterations, while the popular weekend brunch menu boasts some inventive new additions.
“We believe food is an art, a journey and a love language,” said Chef Sam Greer. “Our menus are constantly evolving based on what local farmers and producers are growing and what inspires us as a team. We want every visit to Modern Love to feel new, exciting and rooted in a sense of place.”
Drawing from his experience in Michelin-starred kitchens throughout Boston and New England, Greer has crafted a menu that blends refined techniques with the warmth and familiarity of gathering around a friend’s table. Much of the menu is sourced from Tennessee farms and producers, while sustainably harvested seafood, including tuna from Hawaii, rounds out the offerings.
Designed to encourage conversation and connection, the dinner menu features 10 shareable dishes that celebrate both Southern and coastal influences. Highlights include the Warm Crab Salad, a nostalgic nod to Greer’s time in Boston featuring warm crab dressed with uni butter, citrus, herbs, black lime and shiso; the Teres Major, an American wagyu cut paired with seaweed-braised leeks, duck fat-confited carrots and black garlic-tarragon jus; and the Tempura Local Mushroom that are hand-foraged, battered, fried, and served with a warm buttermilk dip, an elevated take on a classic dive bar favorite.
The brunch menu also introduces several new dishes, including Steak & Eggs, a seasonal Omelet and Crispy Fried Redfish with warm corn succotash and Creole remoulade. Guests will also find Southern-inspired favorites such as Biscuits & Gravy, based on Greer’s grandmother’s Kentucky recipe, and the indulgent Banana French Toast, one of the chef’s personal favorites that features fried challah bread topped with banana mousse, rum caramel, cherry compote, and walnut granola.
Complementing the culinary offerings is an updated cocktail menu developed by acclaimed beverage team Jamie White and Ben Clemmons, known for Nashville favorites Tiger Bar and Pearl Diver. The new cocktail collection leans into bright, spritz-forward flavors, including “It’s Sam’s Town,” featuring fresh pea syrup, prosecco and pea tendrils, and a refreshing Limoncello Spritz finished with fennel.
In addition to the dining room menu, Modern Love’s bar menu offers a playful and whimsical experience inspired by classic carnival fare. Guests can enjoy creative offerings such as a Lobster Corn Dog served with spicy Chinese mustard and Crab Rangoon Dip with house-made wonton chips. The bar menu will continue to evolve seasonally throughout the year.
Further enhancing the guest experience, Modern Love has introduced a new daily happy hour available seven days a week from 4 to 7 p.m. Happy hour offerings include $5 off cocktails, buy-one-get-one house red and white wines and draft beers, as well as food specials including $5 Deviled Eggs and Truffle Fries, a $12 Burger, $15 Chicken Schnitzel and a $20 Charcuterie Board.
Located within the retro-inspired Fairlane Hotel, Modern Love draws inspiration from the heyday of the 1970s hotel lobby bar, a place where locals and travelers gathered to linger, connect and enjoy great food and drinks. The restaurant’s shareable menu, evolving music programming, weekly live music performances and complimentary pool table tucked inside “The Cube” create an atmosphere that encourages guests to stay awhile.
“We want Modern Love to feel like an extension of your favorite friend’s apartment —comfortable, lively and welcoming,” said Greer. “It’s fine dining without the pretension. We want guests to share plates, discover new flavors, listen to great music and become part of the community we’re building here.”
Modern Love updates its menus quarterly, timed closely with the changing seasons and available harvests. Additional summer dishes are already in development and will continue to showcase the best ingredients available from local farms and producers.
Modern Love is located inside Fairlane Hotel at 401 Union Street in downtown Nashville.
