Halls Chophouse to Partner with Gund® for Fundraising Teddy Bear Lunch on June 6th

For each ticket sold, GUND® will donate a Forever Friends plush to children at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

NASHVILLE - The team from Halls Chophouse will come together with premier plush brand GUND for the first-ever Teddy Bear Lunch on Saturday, June 6th. Inspired by “Bearsy,” a beloved GUND Toothpick bear left behind at Halls Chophouse and later reunited with its family thanks to an outpouring of community support, the Teddy Bear Lunch will benefit the children of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Guests will join Halls Chophouse Columbia for a special, family-friendly, lunch experience. For every ticket sold, Halls Chophouse will donate a portion of the proceeds and GUND will gift a Forever Friend to a child at the hospital because a little comfort can go a long way.

“We were inspired by the community’s positive response to Bearsy’s story and their help to reunite this young child with his favorite teddy bear,” explains Tommy Hall, principal at Hall Management Group. “We are thrilled to partner with the incredible people at GUND to help bring some joy and comfort to the brave children at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital.”

From 11am - 1pm, guests will enjoy special lunch fare prepared by the acclaimed culinary team from Halls Chophouse. Children attending the lunch event will also enjoy select activities, including card making for a child, and will take home their own GUND Forever Friend.

Inspired by real stories just like Bearsy, the Forever Friends Promise is designed to protect every friendship. Each Forever Friends plush features a unique QR code that allows you to register your plush and helps reunite lost stuffed animals with their owners. If a lost friend is not reunited with its owner within 30 days, GUND will provide a new Forever Friends plush free of charge — because every child deserves a cherished companion for life.

The Teddy Bear Lunch is part of a company-wide event, which will take place at each location of Halls Chophouse. Children at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital will benefit from the proceeds and GUND Forever Friends from the Teddy Bear Lunches at Halls Chophouse in Charleston and Summerville, and Halls Chophouse Columbia and Greenville will raise funds and stuffed animals for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital - Midlands.

The Teddy Bear Lunch is $25 per child (12 years old and under) and includes a prix fixe children’s menu, dessert, and a GUND Forever Friend to take home. Adult tickets are $50 per person and include a 2-course prix fixe menu, dessert and the donation of a GUND Forever Friend plush to a child at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
