NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bower Nails, a new design-forward nail salon focused on sustainability, nail health and thoughtful hospitality, officially opened today, June 16, in Nashville's Wedgewood Houston neighborhood. Inspired by the meaning of the word “bower,” a private retreat or peaceful sanctuary, the space was designed to feel restorative, approachable and intentional in every detail.
Founded by Wedgewood Houston residents Andrea Fishkin and Amanda Soeder Gleaton, Bower was created to offer a cleaner, more thoughtful approach to nail care, blending refined design with a warm neighborhood feel. Gleaton, a Nashville native with a background in design and real estate, said, “We wanted to build the kind of space we’d enjoy spending time in: calm, elevated, welcoming and thoughtful in every detail.”
Designed by Jillian Downham Interiors, the nearly 1,700-square-foot salon includes 14 manicure stations, six pedicure chairs, custom built-ins, stone countertops and warm, soft textures throughout.
Focused exclusively on manicure and pedicure services, Bower offers a menu that includes restorative treatments with a focus on consciousness, consistency and customer experience. Curated services include hot towel massage, custom oils, soap and scrubs in collaboration with local company The Herbalist Collective.
In addition to the minimalist design and approach, Bower has been intentional about the polish lines it uses, including TheGelBottle and Lippmann Official, while remaining mindful of reducing waste and incorporating sustainable products. Guests can also enjoy hospitality-driven touches throughout their appointments, including beverages, blankets and calming sensory elements that encourage relaxation.
Fishkin, who brings a background in luxury fashion and client services, said the team was intentional about creating “a slower, more considered experience that feels genuinely good from the moment you walk in and even better when you walk out,” adding that Bower hopes guests begin thinking about nail care “the same way they think about skincare or massage therapy — as part of their overall wellness routine.”
Bower is situated within Wedgewood Village, the 18-acre mixed-use development by Nashville-based real estate and hospitality firm AJ Capital Partners in Wedgewood Houston. Bower's hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Appointments are available now and can be booked online.
