Aura Event Center to Host Good Aura Live: Winter Storm Relief

The event series will bring together Nashville musicians, artists, and comedians to help raise money for those impacted by Winter Storm Fern.

NASHVILLE, TENN.Aura Event Center, the centerpiece of the growing cultural hub of the Wedgewood Entertainment District, is set to host GOOD AURA LIVE: Winter Storm Relief on Saturday, February 28, from 7 – 10 p.m. The inaugural event of the impact series will feature a variety of performances to help raise funds for Nashvillians impacted by the recent winter storm.

“All of Nashville was hit hard by the recent ice storm, and so many of our neighbors are still dealing with daily issues in its wake,” said Ollie Gabriel, CEO of Aura Holdings Group. “As our team thought of ways to help bring together the community and help, we came up with GOOD AURA LIVE: Winter Storm Relief. We plan on partnering with like-minded organizations to host a series of events, all with the intention to raise money to provide grants to those affected.”

A party with a cause, GOOD AURA LIVE will offer an evening of live entertainment from local DJs, comedians, and artists. Gabriel and his team have partnered with the National Museum of African American Music to help program the evening and hope to work with a variety of cultural partners for upcoming events in the series. Sets will take place from 7 – 10 p.m., and standout performances from the inaugural February 28th event will include DJ Smoke OG, Matt West, Brad Sativa, Summer Joy, Legacy Live, Donte Everhart and more.

Money raised will fund microgrants that will be awarded directly to community members in need. There are currently three levels of grants; $1,000 for Emergency Relief, $2,500 for Home Repair, and $5,000 for Home Stabilization. Event organizers have partnered with The Equity Alliance Fund to help manage and distribute all grants to recipients. Those in need can apply online for assistance.

Throughout the gathering, there will be many ways for guests to donate and contribute. Tickets to the party are $20, with 100% of sales going to the grant funds. Aura will be serving a signature cocktail, Storm Breaker, to raise funds, and guests can scan QR codes to donate directly. Aura Holdings Group is also working with corporate sponsors to help match community raised donations.
