Antoinette’s Wine + Provisions Opens in West Nashville

Locally owned market and lounge names executive chef Luke Williams.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — West Nashville’s newest neighbor, Antoinette’s Wine + Provisions, is now open at 331 54th Ave. N. The locally owned market and lounge is inspired by the cherished tradition of a Southern supper club with an emphasis on good wine, perfectly paired snacks and immaculate vibes.

“Antoinette’s is an extension of my dining room table – one filled with friends, wine and food,” said founder Lauren Maranto. “My passion is wine and my mission is to provide my West Nashville neighborhood with a “home away from home” where people feel comfortable exploring new wines and overstaying their welcome.”

Antoinette’s is celebrating its grand opening with a housewarming during normal business hours on Thursday, May 14. Shop the market for convenient grab-and-go snacks, wines by the bottle, beer and non-alcoholic options, as well as gifts and other provisions, or stay awhile to enjoy the full menu of snacks, wine and other beverages.

The wine program at Antoinette’s is unfussy and approachable, offering something for everyone. Whether shopping the market or settling in, wine experts will be available to help guide guests through the selection process. Rather than standard wine descriptors, wines will be grouped by mood and ambiance: Need a light, drinkable wine? Try a Porch Pounder. Will the evening be loud and juicy? Go for a Big Bold Beauty. Guests can choose from wines by the bottle, box or glass, along with beer, NA options and spirit-free wine cocktails on tap.

Leading Antoinette’s food program is executive chef Luke Williams, a respected local chef whose resume includes Flyte World Dining & Wine, The 404 Kitchen and Tailor. Williams came out of restaurant retirement to create a nostalgic menu inspired by his central Alabama roots and Maranto’s coastal Alabama upbringing, with nods to Maranto’s husband’s Sicilian heritage. Shareables include cheese straws (made the right way with a kick from cayenne and Tabasco), onion dip and charcuterie boards. Plates such as house focaccia with seasonally-flavored whipped butter, sauteed blue crab claws and Conecuh sausage sliders will be offered by the piece when possible so everyone at the table gets exactly what they want.

Nashville-based Lafayette Construction led renovations of the 1930s home, including custom floor-to-ceiling shelving for wine bottles and grocery items and an 11-seat wraparound bar. Local interior designer Kathryn Crawford of Second Story Designs helped create interior spaces that capture the easy charm of an unhurried evening at a friend’s home. A mix of table, lounge and bar seating in the 40-seat space is layered with modern and vintage pieces for an atmosphere that is both familiar and welcoming. The back patio and backyard have additional seating, along with a fenced-in children’s play area.

Antoinette’s Wine + Provisions is located at 331 54th Ave. N. Normal hours are Wednesdays & Thursdays from 2 to 9 p.m., Fridays from 2 to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information on Antoinette’s, including future wine tastings, workshops, chef collaborations and private events, visit antoinetteswine.com and follow along on Instagram: @antoinettes.wine.
