Adventure Science Center Toasts the Chemistry of Cocktails at Science of Spirits, Brews, & Potions

Nashville, TN -- Adventure Science Center invites guests 21 and older to explore the science behind their favorite drinks at Science of Spirits, Brews, & Potions on Friday, October 2, from 6:30 to 10pm.

The event transforms the science center into an after-hours playground filled with interactive exhibits, hands-on experiments, and spirited discoveries. Guests can dig into the science behind distillation, fermentation, and mixology, then sample the results themselves. The kid-free evening also includes laser shows in the award-winning Sudekum Planetarium, blending education, entertainment, and a little spooky October fun.

Tickets include:

• Tastings: specialty cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, and brews
• Educational demonstrations: diving into distillation, fermentation, and more
• After-hours access: kid-free time to explore the science center's exhibits
• Planetarium Laser shows: spirited songs and dazzling laser lights

Designated driver tickets include everything above except alcoholic beverage tastings.

Science of Spirits, Brews, & Potions is presented with support from sponsors including Ajax Turner Company and Minuteman Press. A list of participating sampling partners can be found on the event web page. Food service by Gypsy Crepe Co. and The Pepper Pot opens at 6pm.

Tickets are $70 for general admission and $40 for designated drivers, available at adventuresci.org. Prices increase by $10 on September 25, 2026, so guests are encouraged to purchase early. Adventure Science Center members save $5 off admission.
