Luxury Art Gallery Debuts in Nashville, Launches Profound Exhibit Exploring Shared Culture
Wedgewood-Houston’s newest addition hosts a grand opening and reveals its first exposition.
NASHVILLE, TENN. – CASS Contemporary (CASS)—the acclaimed Tampa-based art gallery known for pushing creative boundaries and serving as a premier provider of high-end art consulting and management services worldwide—officially opened its Music City location on Friday, Sept. 12, and celebrated with a grand opening event.
Cassie and Jake Greatens founded CASS Contemporary, launching as a gallery more than a decade ago in Tampa, Florida, and later expanding into art consulting and management. Today, CASS Contemporary represents and promotes artists from around the world, curating and investing in diverse styles and mediums to serve high-profile clients, including celebrities, athletes, restaurateurs, and developers who rely on the duo for expertly curated art.
"We’re delighted to finally be able to bring CASS Contemporary to Nashville and to share a space that we have worked so hard on and are so proud of with such a vibrant, creative community," said Cassie Greatens, co-founder of CASS. "Our goal is to spark conversation, foster connection—between artists, collectors, and neighbors—and highlight art’s unique ability to ignite and inspire. This exhibition is a love letter to the stories and shared experiences that unite us."
The grand opening festivities also revealed the space’s inaugural group exhibition, CLTRL CNTXT, a powerful show featuring eight groundbreaking artists from eight different countries, which will run now through November 7. The artists featured are:
- Florian Eymann (France)
- Michal Mraz (Slovakia)
- Joram Roukes (Netherlands)
- Kim Byungkwan (South Korea)
- Allison Hueman (USA)
- Nicholas Romero Escalada (Argentina)
- Fintan Magee (Australia)
- Faith47 (South Africa)
Guests experienced a bold new chapter in Nashville’s art scene with an evening of art, culture, connection, and a viewing of the exhibit. The contributed pieces speak to the role of collective memory, pop iconography, and visual language in creating shared understanding — not through uniformity, but through resonance.
The exhibition focuses on how shared cultural references—ranging from pop culture and memes to history and visual archetypes—can forge connections across borders. At a time when culture often feels fragmented and overly personalized, the exhibit invites viewers to reflect on the role of collective identity, social landscapes, and global storytelling in shaping what unites us today.
"Opening our Nashville location is a testament to the vision and dedication that have driven CASS Contemporary for the past decade," said Jake Greatens, co-founder of CASS. "Our business has grown and shifted significantly over the past decade, but we have always remained committed to globally engaged, socially relevant art, championing boundary-pushing artists and elevating the creative voices that shape our world.”
Each chapter of the brand has featured works by artists spanning from rising stars to icons, including consulting on pieces by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Keith Haring. The Greatens will now support Nashville’s creative landscape, increase arts accessibility, encourage local growth, honor the social impact of art, and inspire future generations to create in various mediums.
“This new location represents the next chapter in our journey, allowing us to foster deeper connections within the creative world and amplify the impact of art that challenges, inspires, and unites communities,” said Greatens.
