Golden Prawn #3 to Open in East Nashville Wednesday, December 3, 2025

Nashville, TN -- The latest addition to Riverside Village’s restaurant boom, Golden Prawn #3 is a classic Chinese takeout restaurant helmed by Gracie Nguyen and Chad Newton of You Are Here Hospitality. Officially opening on Wednesday, December 3, the concept will serve Chinese takeout favorites — including wok-fired dishes served from a hot bar and curated à la carte menu.

Inspired by Newton and Nguyen’s childhood memories of Chinese takeout, the menu is an homage to a cuisine they’ve long loved and will include familiar classics offered at accessible prices. Nguyen brings expertise in wok cooking that is rooted in traditional Chinese techniques and honed through years of working alongside Chinese and Vietnamese chefs and mentors.

The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner, launching with limited hours and hot line service only for takeout from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Orders will be placed in person, with the à la carte menu and updated hours soon to follow.

On the Menu

The hot line menu features one-item bowls, two-item plates, and three-item “bigger plates,” paired with a choice of house fried rice, house chow mein, or a half-and-half combination. Mains include favorites such as Sweet & Sour Pork, Broccoli Beef, Vegetable Deluxe, Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Mongolian Beef, with sides and add-ons like Pork & Shrimp Potstickers, Veggie Spring Rolls, and Hot & Sour Soup.

The à la carte menu expands the offerings with chicken, pork, beef, seafood, and vegetable entrées—each served with white rice—including highlights like Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Golden Prawns, Kung Pao Shrimp, Mu Shu Veggies, and Sweet & Spicy Eggplant. Rounding out the menu are rice and noodle dishes such as Golden Fried Rice and Shredded Pork Chow Mein, plus appetizers and soups like Crab Rangoon, Egg Drop Soup, Chicken Lettuce Cups, and more.

A variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options ensure there’s something for every guest.

The Design

With Southwick Architecture + Interiors serving as the project architect, the space — designed in collaboration with Fresh Creative Studios — will feel instantly familiar, with a warm palette of red, gold, and cream hues. A glowing neon sign marks the entrance, guiding guests into interiors wrapped in custom wallpaper featuring playful illustrations of prawns and takeout boxes. Framed vintage Chinese takeout menus will line the walls, adding to the sense of nostalgia and rendering tribute to restaurants from across the country. At the heart of it all is the hot bar — where that classic Chinese takeout experience extends beyond the design and onto the menu.
