Urban League of Middle Tennessee is proud to present its free accelerated IT training and certification program that is exclusively designed for unemployed adults. The TechConnect Jobs Program provides customizable technology training that includes job readiness, resiliency workshops, and certificate or license-bearing classes. Following graduation from the program, participants will be able to compete for jobs in a high-demand and growing industry.

The Sexual Assault Center (SAC) is dedicated to helping Nashville remain a safe and fun city, which is why they offer free training called Safe Bar. The mission of Safe Bar is to work with local bars, restaurants, and hotels to raise awareness about alcohol’s role in sexual assault, engage bar owners and staff in bystander intervention, and work together to prevent sexual violence across Tennessee. This training will equip businesses with the tools and knowledge needed to identify and intervene safely when sexual harassment or assault takes place. The training only takes 1.5 to 2 hours, and SAC works with businesses to accommodate any unique scheduling needs. Once at least 50% of staff is trained, businesses receive materials and are added to the Safe Bar app, which can be found at safebarapp.org.
