The Nashville Film Festival is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country, celebrating its 46th year in 2015. Each year, guests come to view more than 280 films from 55 countries. Festival-goers enjoy a plethora of works from documentaries and narrative features to animated and experimental shorts. Panels and workshops are also offered for those looking to enrich their knowledge beyond the screen.

The Nashville Film Festival is one of only 17 festivals worldwide where the winners of the Short Documentary, Short Narrative, and Short Animation competitions automatically qualify for Academy Award consideration.
The Nashville Film Festival, named one of the top five in the U.S. by Brooks Institute, has become one of the premier showcases for the best new work of American and international filmmakers.
In addition to the many films about music and the Music Films in Music City awards, NaFF presents showcases, workshops, and other events where Nashville songwriters and artists come together with film professionals from Hollywood and around the world to promote collaboration.
