Calling all local families! Join us this Spring Break for our fun-filled Spring Break Family Days, which give you a sneak peek of some of our popular family programs and tours. Spring Break Family Days are a come-and-go experience with activities programmed from 10:00AM-2:00PM each day in our Historic Carriage House.

Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome on the day to join us for these fun make-and-take days:

March 9th - Archaeology Day
March 10th - Frontier Day
March 11th - STEAM Day
March 12th - Civil War Day
March 13th - Tea Party Day

March 9th - Archaeology Day
Learn how archaeologists conduct digs by doing your own mock dig and underwater archaeology activity, make your own soap arrowhead, date coins, and make your own pinch pot.

March 10th - Life as a Frontier Kid
Play traditional Frontier games, wash laundry like Frontier kids, learn how to tie knots like the cowboys of the West, make your own butter, and craft your own Paul Bunyan or Babe the Blue Ox paper puppet.

March 11th - STEAM Day
Create your own artistic horse silhouette, make your own Kaleidoscope, and paint with baking soda.

March 12th - Civil War Day
Decode hidden messages, learn military marching commands, make your own Crazy Quilt, and explore Civil War artifacts.

March 13th - Tea Party Day
Design your own calling cards, craft a paper tea cup and saucer set, make and decorate a tea party hat, and learn about Victorian fan etiquette.

Each day will also include a themed coloring station, a cozy reading nook featuring books related to that day's theme, and a do-it-yourself scavenger hunt.

Your ticket includes all craft materials, refreshments, admission to our grounds, with access to our two restaurants, Coop n' Scoop ice cream and coffee shop, mini-games court, and multiple self-guided historic structures. Spring Break Family Days do not include admission to the Mansion, but this (or one of our other tours) can be added on for an additional fee.
