Recorded Live at Analog: Cody Jinks
ABOUT CODY JINKS
Cody Jinks celebrates his own resilience on In My Blood, his 11th studio album. With 5 billion streams across platforms, eight songs certified Platinum or Gold, and a nearly 20-year career, the Fort Worth, Texas, native has cemented his reputation as one of country music's most important singer-songwriters. "This record is most certainly a celebration of survival. It's a message of, 'We made it,'" Jinks says. "And we're still going." Co-produced by Jinks' bassist Joshua Thompson and Charles Godfrey, In My Blood finds Jinks singing about the gift of getting older with a clear head, Better Than the Bottle, the danger of ever-lurking demons, Monster, and the fans who consistently inspire him, The Others. In the title track, a duet with Blackberry Smoke's Charlie Starr, he reveals why he and other road dog musicians like him are compelled to do what they do: "It's in my blood/It's in my bones." Jinks is currently on his own headlining Hippies and Cowboys Tour with stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the Met in Philadelphia, and Pier 17 in New York City.
