POSITION SUMMARY

The Membership Sales Manager is a sales-first connector who drives NCVC membership growth and deepens engagement across Nashville’s hospitality and business community. Rooted in authentic relationships and social selling, this role balances research-driven prospecting with face-to-face outreach to convert prospects and activate member value. Agility, speed, and organization are essential — thriving with quick response times and adapting to the fast-changing rhythm of Music City while serving as a bridge between members and NCVC initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and close new members across targeted segments using relationship-based sales strategies and market research
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline with timely notes, traces, and accurate activity to reflect engagement and next best actions in partnership development
  • Educate and coach members to activate benefits, use available research/tools, and lean into the Music City brand story—with member retention as the priority, ensuring on-time renewals and sustained engagement
  • Serve as a key connector between NCVC initiatives and the Nashville community—sharing timely updates, resources, and engagement opportunities with existing members and prospective ones
  • Represent NCVC at meetings, networking events, and community forums with professionalism and enthusiasm for Nashville’s brand and industry

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven success in sales, business development, or relationship/account management; hospitality or membership organization experience preferred
  • Deep, established Nashville network; in-market experience is required
  • Exceptional communication (verbal, written, presentation) with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM experience preferred; disciplined with data accuracy, trace maintenance, and follow-through to close

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB 

  • Required to work for company events such as: New Year’s Eve and July 4th
  • Occasional requests to work/attend events during non-business hours (evenings and weekends)
  • May be requested to work extra hours for special projects as needed
