Tennessee Farmers Market Trail Launches May 16, Connecting Communities Through Local Food

Nashville, TN - A new way to experience local food and support Tennessee farmers is launching this spring with the debut of the Tennessee Farmers Market Trail, a regional initiative designed to connect visitors with farmers’ markets and agricultural destinations across Middle Tennessee.

Produced in partnership with the Tennessee Farmers Market Association (TAFM) and Tennessee Local Food, the Tennessee Farmers Market Trail invites residents and visitors alike to explore five unique farmers markets, each offering its own selection of fresh produce, handmade goods, and community experiences.

The Trail officially launches May 16, 2026, encouraging participants to visit multiple markets, meet local farmers, and discover the diversity of Tennessee agriculture. Visitors can check in at each location, collect stickers, and earn rewards while supporting local food systems.

“This initiative is about more than just visiting markets - it’s about connecting people to the farmers who grow their food and strengthening local economies,” said Kasi Haire, Nolensville Farmers Market Manager. “Each market offers something unique, and the Trail makes it easy and fun to explore them all.”

How the Trail Works

Participants can begin their journey at any participating market by scanning a QR code to check in and start collecting unique Trail stickers at each stop.

Participants who complete all five stops will receive a Tennessee Farmers Market Trail tote bag, and every check-in enters them into a drawing for a chance to win a $200 farmers market gift card.
