Music City Walk of Fame to Induct Diamond-Certified Superstar Thomas Rhett on July 8
Ceremony at Walk of Fame Park Set for Day Before His GEODIS Park Concert.
NASHVILLE – Diamond-certified superstar Thomas Rhett, whose career has produced 25 No. 1 hits over the past decade, will be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 1 p.m., the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp announced today.
The induction ceremony takes place just one day before he brings his The Soundtrack of Life Tour to GEODIS Park on July 9 with longtime friend Niall Horan. The ceremony will recognize the 113th star on the Music City Walk of Fame. Inductees are recognized for their significant work of preserving the musical heritage of Nashville and for contributing to the world through song.
“Few artists embody the heart and soul of Music City quite like Thomas Rhett,” said Ellen Pryor, Chair of Music City Inc., the foundation of the NCVC, and Senior Advisor for Civic Engagement at the Frist Art Museum. “From growing up in Nashville to becoming one of country music’s biggest stars, he has remained a passionate ambassador for the city and its songwriting tradition. We are thrilled to welcome Thomas Rhett to the Music City Walk of Fame to celebrate and enshrine his many contributions to the creative music community that makes Nashville so special.”
With both songwriting prowess and charisma, Thomas Rhett’s career has been fueled by equal parts energy and emotion, continually keeping fans on their toes. Thomas Rhett will bring The Soundtrack of Life Tour to more than 20 cities across the country this summer and will perform a second stadium show with Horan at Hersheypark Stadium on July 18, delivering the “bombastic, good-time energy” (Esquire) that fans have come to expect from one of music’s most dynamic entertainers.
His latest album About A Woman (Deluxe) is the expanded version of his “best work yet” (Country Living), now comprised of 25 songs including three No. One songs, “Beautiful As You,” “After All The Bars Are Closed,” and most recently, “Ain’t A Bad Life” ft. Jordan Davis. The “energized and upbeat” (Forbes) project features collaborations with Lanie Gardner, Blake Shelton, Teddy Swims and Tucker Wetmore, showcasing why he continues to be one of Nashville’s most versatile hitmakers.
Members of the public are invited to view the ceremony. Media must be credentialed prior to the event (please see credential information below).
Created in 2006, the Music City Walk of Fame is located on Nashville’s Music Mile, a roughly one- mile stretch that connects downtown to Music Row. Permanent sidewalk medallions with the names of inductees are displayed in a star design.
