Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage to Honor the 250th Anniversary of America's Founding With Path of Glory Display
A stunning display of 1,776 American flags to line the property, currently available to be sponsored in someone’s honor.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Andrew Jackson Foundation, which owns and operates Andrew Jackson’s historic home, The Hermitage, is announcing its plans to join the nation in celebrating the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. The Hermitage will celebrate this milestone with an incredible spectacle of stars and stripes by displaying 1,776 full-size U.S. flags on the Presidential site from mid-April through Independence Day.
Individuals or groups can purchase a flag to be flown in honor of themselves or in memory of a person of their choosing for the Path of Glory installation. After three months on display at The Hermitage, each flag will be taken down and sent to the individual in whose honor or memory it was flown. There are three tiers available for flag sponsorship. The public can also donate to the event in the amount that they wish without purchasing a flag.
- Tier One ($250) — Includes one 3x5 ft. American Flag flown at The Hermitage and a Certificate of Authenticity noting the dates it was flown at the Presidential site.
- Tier Two ($1,000) — Includes one 3x5 ft. American Flag flown at The Hermitage, a Certificate of Authenticity noting the dates it was flown at the Presidential site, and a commemorative display box to preserve and showcase the flag.
- Tier Three ($25,000) — Includes one 5x8 ft. American Flag flown at The Hermitage, a Certificate of Authenticity noting the dates it was flown at the Presidential site, a commemorative display box to preserve and showcase the flag, hand delivery of the flag from a Staff Member of Andrew Jackson's Hermitage, an exclusive museum store gift basket, and coffee on the balcony of The Hermitage Mansion.
As part of The Hermitage’s Path of Glory celebration, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee will visit the property on May 22 and deliver a keynote address.
The display will be available for all Hermitage visitors to see while it is up. Information about General Admission tickets, VIP tours, and membership can be found on The Hermitage’s website.
