Nashville Adventures Founder Paul Whitten Named “General Manager of the Year” by Greater Nashville Hospitality Association
Nashville Adventures is proud to announce that its founder, Paul Whitten, has been named General Manager of the Year by the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association (GNHA).
Nashville, TN — Nashville Adventures is proud to announce that its founder, Paul Whitten, has been named General Manager of the Year by the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association (GNHA), a recognition that celebrates exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to hospitality excellence across Middle Tennessee.
Paul Whitten, a combat veteran, Peace Corps Volunteer, and UK Parliamentary Fellow, founded Nashville Adventures not as a business venture—but as a mission. What began with one man giving passionate walking tours through Music City has grown into one of the most respected and community-rooted tour companies in Nashville. Since launching, Nashville Adventures has welcomed over 15,000 guests, received national media recognition from outlets including USA Today, The Tennessean, and Channel 5 News, and consistently maintained a 4.9-star average across hundreds of reviews.
“I never set out to win an award,” said Whitten. “I set out to tell great stories, build something with soul, and create jobs that matter for people who care. But this recognition by the GNHA is a true honor—and a testament to the hard work of our entire team.”
What Makes Nashville Adventures Different
Nashville Adventures was built on values that mirror what makes the city of Nashville special: grit, heart, and hospitality. With no storefront and no outside investors, the company operates lean—but delivers big. Whether it's a ghost tour through the backstreets of Broadway, a Civil War tour for a private group, or a corporate retreat that blends history with humor, every Nashville Adventures experience is rooted in authenticity, community, and storytelling.
What sets the company apart:
- Veteran-Owned & Operated: Led by a founder who has served in war zones and foreign villages, the company is committed to service—both to guests and the greater Nashville community.
- Locally Embedded: 1% of all revenue is donated to veteran-related charities, and the company regularly volunteers in the community.
- Top Talent, Not Just Tour Guides: Tour leaders are hired for passion and personality, not for memorizing bullet points. Every tour is a performance, a conversation, and a shared moment.
- Unmatched Storytelling: Nashville Adventures is built on the belief that the best way to learn about a city is by walking through it with someone who loves it.
A Company with Purpose
Whitten often says that everyone’s circumstances are 50% luck—and 100% responsibility. That belief drives everything at Nashville Adventures, from the way guests are treated to how the company hires and gives back. “We’re not just selling tickets,” Whitten added. “We’re building something that reflects the soul of this city.”
As Nashville continues to grow, Nashville Adventures is poised to grow with it—expanding tours, deepening partnerships, and staying true to its roots.
