Open Thursday-Monday 10 am – 4:30 pm except for Sunday, 11 am – 4:30 pm. Closed major holidays. Adults $16; seniors/military $15; children (6-12) $5; 5 & under free. General admission tickets begin with an introduction in the Grand Salon. Visitors tour at their own pace. Signage in each room tells the story of the mansion and the residents. Tour guides stationed throughout the house. The average tour is 45 minutes to an hour. Completed in 1853 by Adelicia and Joseph Acklen, Belmont Mansion is one of a few historic sites whose story centers on a woman. It was one of the largest houses in the South and the Grand Salon with its staircase is one of the most elaborate domestic rooms built in antebellum Tennessee.
