The Nashville Film Festival is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country, celebrating its 50th year in 2019. Festival-goers enjoy a plethora of works from documentaries and narrative features to animated and experimental shorts. Panels and workshops are also offered for those looking to enrich their knowledge beyond the screen.

At the Theater
At Regal Hollywood Stadium 27 & RPX during the Nashville Film Festival you have the chance see the best in World Cinema, American Indies, documentaries, and numerous short form programs by veteran masters, up-coming directors, and first-time filmmakers. Films screened in the past include 13 Assassins, (500) Days of Summer, Cyrus, Terri, Buck, Nowhere Boy, Project Nim, and Academy Award nominees I Am Love, Ajami, and Dogtooth. It is more than a festival, but an experience for all who appreciate the art of film.
Purchase a pass and see the films that are up for those special awards including Narrative Feature, New Director Feature, Documentary Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Short, Animated Short, Experimental Short, and Young Filmmakers Short. In addition NaFF is hosting the Music Films/ Music City competition.
Since we are in Music City, it's only fitting the Nashville Film Festival has a Music Films/Music City Competition. These films celebrate music, musicians, and the impact music has on our lives.

Creator's Conference - May 16-18
This year, during the Nashville Film Festival, will be the Creator's Conference happening May 16-18. This conference, presented by NashFilm, includes robust tracks for filmmakers, screenwriters, musicians, and all kinds of creators. Come hear about the latest industry trends, paths that have led to success, ways to hone your craft, and meet others in the community! People like Penelope Bartlett of Criterion Collection, Daisy Blackwell Hutton of Fiction Publisher, and Alex Bowen of The Kennedy/Marshall Company will all be there to share tips and tricks of the trade. The Nashville Film Festival is one of only 17 festivals worldwide where the winners of the Short Documentary, Short Narrative, and Short Animation competitions automatically qualify for Academy Award consideration.
The Nashville Film Festival, named one of the top five in the U.S. by Brooks Institute, has become one of the premier showcases for the best new work of American and international filmmakers.
In addition to the many films about music and the Music Films in Music City awards, NaFF presents showcases, workshops, and other events where Nashville songwriters and artists come together with film professionals from Hollywood and around the world to promote collaboration.
