There is a concert happening each week or month in Nashville. Check out these live music venues and plan to see one of their concert series.

Big Band Dances

Spend your Saturday nights this summer dancing and listening to live big band music played by some of Nashville's finest musicians at Centennial Park. For the ultimate experience bring your own lawn chair and picnic basket.

Bluebird on the Mountain

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, food, and drink and relax on the Vanderbilt University Dyer Observatory’s front lawn to enjoy a fabulous evening of sunset, music, and stars.

Box Lunch Concert Series

Come out to the historic Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, every fourth Wednesday, May through October. Grab your “Box Lunch To Go” and invite your family, friends, or co-workers to come enjoy some of the areas best live entertainment.

Grand Ole Opry Concert Series

The Grand Ole Opry features a dynamic line-up of new stars, superstars, and legends of country music. Unlike a typical concert, the Opry presents eight or more artists on each show, giving the audience a sample of each artist’s musical style.

In the Round

The songwriter In The Round format, which is now known worldwide, gets its start at The Bluebird Cafe. A typical nightly performance consists of four songwriters seated in the center of the room, taking turns playing their songs and accompanying each other both instrumentally and with harmony vocals.

Jazz on the Cumberland

Every third Sunday from May (May date is the second Sunday) until October, Nashville jams out at Cumberland Park during Jazz on the Cumberland. All the music is provided by local jazz acts and is FREE to all.

Music at the Frist

The Frist Art Museum welcomes artists each Thursday & Friday to perform for Music at the Frist. Watch local artists perform each week.

May-June, September
Musicians Corner

Musicians Corner presents free outdoor concerts in Nashville’s Centennial Park. The events are free for all ages and feature multi-genre performances, food trucks, craft beer & wine, signature cocktails, local artisans, and activities for children. Join us each Friday and Saturday in May and June, and on Thursday evenings in September.

Music in the Vines

Arrington Vineyards hosts Music in the Vines every year from April through October every Saturday and Sunday. They offer two live music locations with the music lasting from 4-8pm on Saturdays and 2-6pm on Sundays. It's all free and the perfect chance to listen to great music and taste amazing wine!

Nashville Library Courtyard Concert Series

Every Tuesday for two months in early Fall, the Nashville Public Library hosts a free concert from 11:45am-1pm. The concerts will take place right in their courtyard. So grab some lunch and enjoy the weather while listening to some great live music.

Nashville Symphony Community Concerts

At the beginning of each summer, the Nashville Symphony offers a series of free performances at parks around town. The Community Concerts are a lovely event to share with family or friends under the warm night sky. Bring a picnic. Enjoy the music!

Pickin' On the Plaza

Each year the Ryman Auditorium hosts Bluegrass Nights at The Ryman presenting the biggest names in bluegrass on the very stage where the genre was born in 1945. Before every show is the free Pickin' on the Plaza live concert featuring a top regional bluegrass band.

Under the Stars

Get the chance to catch some of Music City’s largest rising acts at The George Jones rooftop bar, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm – all for free!
