Hot Dog Restaurants in Nashville

Everyone loves a good hot dog.

Frankfurters, franks, weenies, dogs, hot dogs. There are many names for one of America's favorite foods. And they're not just at the ballpark, butcher, or grocery store. Nashville restaurants are serving some inventive and satisfying sausages - for every connoisseur.

Bavarian Bierhaus

Opryland/Music Valley
615-238-0687
For a dog with a Bavarian slant, make your way to Bavarian Bierhaus. Choose from Bratwurst, Knackwurst, Weisswurst, Jalapeno Cheddarwurst, and a Bavarian Wiener - and order your Wurst on a Roll. Wash it down with a German brew and top it off with an apfelstrudel.

Daddy's Dogs

The Nations
425-293-7839
For a superb gourmet dog in Music City, head to Daddy's Dogs in The Nations. The New York, Chicago, Seattle, Music City (our favorite, of course), Big Daddy, and Lone Wolf dogs are all-beef hot dogs with locally-made buns. Daddy's Dogs began as a hot dog cart in downtown Nashville but they were so good, they expanded to a permanent location on Centennial Blvd. Try it. You'll like it.

Hugh-Baby's

Sylvan Park
615-610-3340
From the famous pitmaster Pat Martin of Martin's Bar-B-Que, Hugh-Baby's is simple, straightforward, and so, so good. Try the traditional Ball Park Dog or go wild with the jalapeno & bbq sauce-laden Pickwick Dog. Add bacon to any dog for just $0.50 because, well, bacon

Von Elrod's

Germantown/Jefferson Street
615-866-1621
At Von Elrod's, all sausages are hand-cranked in-house. In addition to the Poutines and Sausages sections of the menu, there is a dedicated Hot Dogs section. Whether you're a purist and prefer to stick with a simple stream of yellow mustard or you like to pile on the chili or sauerkraut, there are all-beef hot dogs for you here. Go a little fancier and opt for the prime ribeye sausage, Thai pork sausage, bratwurst, or lentil and curry vegan sausage. Get a soft pretzel to start and a beer from one of their 36 taps.

Cori's has 38 signature hot dogs and 35 different toppings, so you have about 4 million different hot dogs you can try here. Stick to the 38 and try each one to get on the Wall of Wieners.

Hot Diggity Dogs

Downtown - SoBro
615-255-3717
It's home of Nashville's Chicago Dog. Ingredients are shipped directly from Chicago and you can choose to have your Vienna beef, turkey, or veggie dog charbroiled or steamed. Throw in a side of fried pickles for good measure.

I Dream of Weenie

East Nashville
615-226-2622
Just because it has wheels doesn't mean it moves. The modified VW bus from which I Dream of Weenie serves is permanently located near East Nashville's Five Points. All weenies are charcoal grilled and are available as premium all-beef, turkey, or tofu. Get a pimento cheese weenie or a French toast weenie (if you come for brunch on Sunday) and grab a spot on the lawn.
